When Do Auditions Take Place?

Auditions for our upcoming season will take place August 27-29, 2026, or other times by appointment.  To set up a specific audition time, or to find out more about Camerata, contact the director at conductor@cameratadamici.org.

The Audition

Auditions consist of vocal warm-ups to determine range, as well as some sight reading. No prepared solo is required. You will be asked to fill out an information sheet about your prior musical experience.

Rehearsal and Concert Schedule

Rehearsals for the 2026-2027 season begin Thursday, September 10, 2026.  Rehearsals generally take place Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Ridgefield, CT.   Additional sectional rehearsal take place periodically.

Camerata d’Amici performs three concerts per season. Our concerts for the 2026-2027 season are scheduled for December 6, 2026. March 7, 2027, and May 16, 2027.

Why Should I Audition?

Our concerts feature a varied repertoire with an emphasis on recent, contemporary choral music, as well as pieces from the choral canon.   For more information about the music we perform, visit our Previous Concerts page and click on Learn More for each concert.

We are a collegial, mutually supportive group of dedicated choral singers, united by a desire to capture and express the unique capability of music to touch the hearts of our audience.

If you would like to drop in on a rehearsal to listen to our rehearsal process, please feel free to do so. Contact info@cameratdamici.org to let us know you are coming, or to find out more about our group.
